Fun event on Thursday, May 19th at CERES GALLERY

◆Thursday, May 19th
JAZZ MUSIC FROM JAPAN AT CERES GALLERY (Free, open to the public)

This event is produced by Ms.Masayo Nishimura, photo grapher, is currently holding her exhibition, April 26 – May 21, 2016 at the Gallery.

I visited her exhibition yesterday, and looked her pictures hung on the wall, were wow! Her hometown was called, Senri-new town, Toyonaka-city, Osaka in Japan. Me personally, I felt a sorrowfulness from them. It connected to my childhood memories back in late 1980’s even though her pictures were taken by 4 years ago, in 2012.

“My Old New-Town
About 50 years have passed since the “New Town” were constructed throughout Japan. The town populations now have a high proportion of senior citizens and a number of vacant houses are rising.  After her both parents passed, Nishimura started documenting the “New Town”  – her home town.”
